Local Resident Donates Masks and Face Shields to Police, Fire and EMS Units
Members of the Colmar Volunteer Fire Company Assembled, Disinfected and issued over 150 protective masks and face shields donated by Face Shields by Frank a non-for-profit organization. Deputy Chief Robert Hassett was contacted by the founder Frank Del Vecchio of Face Shields by Frank, who stated that he wanted to contribute and ease the burden on the shortage of masks and face shields to emergency responders and health care workers. Frank recently purchased a 3D printer and determined that he could best use the printer to help emergency responders in times of crisis with the much needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is now in critical shortage.
These masks and face shields were distributed to Fire, Police and EMS units in Hatfield Township and Lansdale. Frank is committed to printing more of the critically needed items and distributing them to other emergency first responders in the greater Montgomery County Townships and Boroughs.
Our fire company members are grateful to be in partnership with Face Shields by Frank and look forward to the next batch of quality made PPE for first responders.
If you are interested in donating to this great cause Frank has established a Venmo Donation Account. All monies collected will be used to purchased supplies to produce the masks and shields.
